However, nothing compares to being at home/Singapore. It's a place where i'll feel safe and warm (literally). Been chatting with my mom these days and found out that she's facing a lot of stress at work. Her boss thinks she's a slow worker, her colleagues don't get along well with her.. i guess it's really quite tough to go out and work when u're already 50 plus. she says she is not as proud of her job as before and knows that she is slowing down. i really wish i could help her.. like maybe go out and work or something.. i've depleted my savings from army and other work, looks like they aren't the only ones with bad financial planning. i'll just study hard and give her less troubles i guess....
anw.. i just recieved an email saying that they rejected my appeal for one of the electives. this sucks.. i hate it..
More pictures of the scenery in Melbourne coming up!
These are called 'mature can blow' flowers.. as termed by Rachel. Look at how happy she is... hahaah.. and that is me taking a sushi break. we were on and adventure to take the city circle tram which is free.
we took it from Melbourne central but decided to take a walk inside first. we bought crepe before leaving and headed to take the city circle tram!
we then alighted at docklands and there's actually a shopping area there! it's a bit isolated though.. maybe it's because the shops were closing/closed.. the second picture shows a feris wheel that is being reconstructed as the engineers didn't take into account of the heat that Melbourne has... wad a waste of time and money..
Then we walked further in and discovered this place called Costco. It's a member's wholesale store where they sell items in huge bulk and the prices there seems quite reasonable. The catch is that you've to be one of their members if you want to purchase stuff inside. otherwise, you can sign in and take a tour inside the store. (which is what we did) the second picture is just to show you how giant their shopping carts are.. to fit giant food wraps... in a giant store!
it was time to leave as we had to meet shuyan back at college square.. we took a walk down the docks and took a city circle tram back to melbourne central
